The New England Patriots enter the 2026 season as the clear favorite to win the season series against the New York Jets, reflecting their stronger roster depth, quarterback continuity with Drake Maye, and offensive additions such as A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs after a Super Bowl appearance in 2025. The Jets, still navigating a lengthy playoff drought under second-year coach Aaron Glenn and with Geno Smith at quarterback, project as a lower-win team with persistent questions at key positions and a less competitive overall roster. Their two matchups—one at home in Week 6 and one on the road in Week 16—favor the Patriots in both, driving the market’s emphasis on a New England series win or split while limiting the Jets’ realistic path to taking both games. Recent training camp and preseason developments have reinforced these gaps without major roster-altering injuries emerging for either side.
