Cowboys defensive upgrades, including new coordinator Christian Parker, first-round safety Caleb Downs, and additions like Rashan Gary, bolster a unit that ranked poorly in 2025 and support an offense led by Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and George Pickens. The Commanders, rebounding from Jayden Daniels’ injury-plagued season and a 5-12 record, face a tough schedule and questions along the offensive line. The Week 2 home matchup at AT&T Stadium favors Dallas, while the Week 18 finale at Northwest Stadium carries potential playoff-seeding implications that could influence motivation or rest. Divisional history shows Cowboys dominance, yet these NFC East contests remain prone to variance, producing the market’s near-even split between a Dallas series win and a tie.
