The tightly bunched probabilities around 49% across dozens of drivers for the Cook Out Southern 500 reflect Darlington Raceway’s historic volatility as the “Track Too Tough to Tame” and the high-stakes playoff opener on September 6. Multiple contenders enter with proven track records—Denny Hamlin’s five prior wins and regular-season dominance, Chase Briscoe’s back-to-back victories in the event, plus strong recent form from Tyler Reddick, Kyle Larson, William Byron, and Christopher Bell—while Hendrick, Joe Gibbs, and Penske organizations field deep lineups. The 38-car field, including open entries, combined with playoff reset dynamics and the track’s demanding handling requirements, sustains broad trader consensus that no single driver holds a decisive edge heading into qualifying and the 367-lap race.

If the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series Cook Out Southern 500 is canceled or rescheduled to a date 7 days after the original scheduled date, this market will resolve to "Other."
This market will resolve in favor of the driver who is officially listed in first place in the Official Race Results published by NASCAR following the conclusion of the race. The official results are typically released shortly after the race ends and include any applied penalties and official adjustments.
Disqualifications or changes made after the publication of the official results will not affect market resolution. The timing of the victory lane ceremony does not determine the result for this market — only NASCAR's published results will be used to resolve this market.
The resolution source will be the official NASCAR website (nascar.com) and a consensus of credible sports news reporting.
