This market will resolve to "Yes" if Major League Baseball officially postpones, suspends to a later date, or cancels any regular-season game scheduled between market creation and Sunday, August 30, 2026 due to weather. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." To qualify, only the game's originally scheduled date must fall within this window; the rescheduled make-up date may be any later date. The official postponement, suspension, or cancellation announcement by MLB must itself be made by 11:59 PM ET on August 31, 2026. Qualifying weather conditions include rain, lightning, fog, wind, air quality, or other conditions MLB attributes to weather. A postponement for a non-weather reason, including venue issues or power failures, will not be considered a qualifying weather condition. An in-game weather delay that does not result in the game being rescheduled to a different date does not qualify. A game completed early due to weather but still recorded as an official final result does not qualify. If all games scheduled during the qualifying period are completed with no qualifying rescheduling event by 7:59 PM ET on August 31, 2026, this market will resolve to "No." If a game is not completed by that time for any reason other than weather, it does not qualify. Primary resolution source: official MLB statements published on mlb.com. If the website is silent or ambiguous, the official MLB social media accounts will be used.Recent MLB schedules show scattered thunderstorms and moderate precipitation risks across several open-air venues like PNC Park and Great American Ball Park, yet most September 5 contests proceeded with only brief delays rather than full postponements. Low rain probabilities at many ballparks, combined with retractable-roof options and league protocols favoring resumption over rescheduling, have kept outcomes balanced near even odds. Late-summer weather patterns often produce isolated cells that clear quickly, while historical September rainout rates remain modest outside hurricane threats or prolonged fronts. Stronger, widespread storm systems or persistent heavy rain in multiple markets could push the implied probability higher, whereas clearing forecasts or successful play through light showers would favor the no-reschedule side.
