Tung-Lin Wu enters the M25 Taipei round of 16 as the clear favorite on outdoor hard courts, reflecting his higher ATP ranking near 357 and main-draw seeding versus Taisei Ichikawa’s lower standing. Wu’s recent results include straight-set wins in qualifying and early-round play, while Ichikawa has navigated a longer qualifying path with mixed outcomes on the ITF circuit. Home-country advantage for the Taiwanese player adds familiarity with conditions and crowd support. Limited head-to-head history shows competitive encounters, but current form, ranking gap, and schedule positioning favor Wu’s consistency in rallies and serving. Weather and any last-minute fitness updates remain the primary variables that could shift implied probabilities before the match.
