Charles Broom, a British professional ranked around ATP No. 258–287 with extensive Challenger and ITF experience on hard courts, faces junior Hongjin Qi in a Manacor event. Broom enters with a strong 2026 record exceeding 30 wins, including multiple hard-court victories in recent weeks at events like Roehampton and Lincoln, plus solid serve and return metrics against comparable opposition. Qi, a 15–16-year-old Chinese junior ranked in the ITF junior top 500, has posted quarterfinal results in J100 tournaments including prior Manacor editions but lacks senior-level matches. Trader consensus reflects Broom’s significant experience, physical maturity, and recent form edge on the surface, though junior upsets remain possible in early-round or qualifying settings due to variance in junior-to-senior transitions.
