This market will resolve to "Yes" if the team winning 1st place at the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026, currently scheduled for October 3 to October 17, 2026, is a Western team. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. If the winner of the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026 is not determined by October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizers, TJ Sports and Huya. However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/Demacia_Cup_Global_Invitational/2026) may also be used.**LPL and LCK mid-table squads hold clear edges over LCS and LEC representatives in the 12-team Demacia Cup Global Invitational.** The October 3–17 event draws the highest non-Worlds teams from six regions, with LPL and LCK each sending their 5th–7th-place sides while LCS and LEC send only their 4th–5th-place squads. Historical regional gaps persist even at this tier: LPL and LCK squads typically feature deeper talent pools, stronger macro execution, and better adaptation to fearless drafts and best-of series common in the Swiss and single-elimination stages. The offline knockout phase in Beijing adds a modest home-environment factor for any advancing LPL teams. Recent form from summer splits and MSI 2026 results reinforced the power ranking that allocated more slots to the top two regions. With eight teams advancing from the initial Swiss rounds and best-of-five grand-final format rewarding consistency, trader consensus views an LPL or LCK winner as the baseline outcome, leaving Western teams (LCS/LEC) realistic but secondary upset potential in a field heavy on Eastern competition.
