The 2026-27 Serie A assist race remains tightly bunched among a deep group of creative midfielders, wingers, and full-backs because several clubs field balanced attacking units without a single dominant creator emerging from pre-season. Players like Federico Dimarco, who posted a league-high 16 assists in 2025-26, Paulo Dybala, Charles De Ketelaere, Riccardo Orsolini, and Nico Paz enter with strong recent output and favorable roles in fluid systems, while arrivals such as Kevin De Bruyne add further depth. Factors including variable minutes due to rotation, tactical shifts under new managers, and competition for set-piece duties keep implied probabilities clustered, with no clear frontrunner ahead of opening fixtures. Historical patterns show assists often spread across multiple contributors in Italy’s high-pressing, transition-oriented matches.
