Kirk Cousins holds a dominant 91.5% implied probability as the Las Vegas Raiders’ Week 1 starter because new head coach Klint Kubiak has repeatedly named the veteran the clear QB1 since training camp opened, granting him the bulk of first-team reps. The Raiders signed Cousins to a short-term deal in April 2026 specifically to bridge the gap for rookie first-overall pick Fernando Mendoza, whose development timeline favors a redshirt year behind an experienced signal-caller. Aidan O’Connell remains in the mix for the backup role but has not generated meaningful momentum in camp reports. While an injury to Cousins or an unexpectedly strong Mendoza showing could still shift the depth chart, official statements and roster construction have produced strong trader consensus around the veteran’s Week 1 role.

In the event two listed quarterbacks take the field on the first offensive play of the Las Vegas Raiders’ Week 1 game, this market will resolve in favor of the player directly receiving the snap. If neither listed quarterback directly receives the snap, this market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically.
If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or no official starter has taken the field within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL and/or the Las Vegas Raiders; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
