Dino Prizmic, the 21-year-old Croatian ranked around 101, faces 25-year-old Kazakhstani Alexander Shevchenko (ranked near 97) in a US Open first-round match on outdoor hard courts. Both players enter with inconsistent recent form—Prizmic at 3 wins in his last 10 matches and Shevchenko at 4—following limited hard-court success in the summer swing. Prizmic owns a higher hard-court win rate in his career sample and reached a career-high ranking of 70 earlier in 2026, while Shevchenko peaked at 45 but holds more main-draw hard-court experience overall. The pair has no prior head-to-head record. Trader consensus reflects a modest edge for the younger Prizmic based on age, surface stats, and ranking trajectory in this unseeded encounter.
