Uroš Medić’s quick first-round TKO of Daniel Rodriguez on August 1 in the main event of UFC’s historic Belgrade card has elevated the Serbian welterweight’s profile on a three-fight finishing streak, positioning him for a step-up matchup. With no bout officially booked, the tightly bunched market reflects welterweight division depth and standard matchmaking variables: current rankings, recent form, availability, and stylistic appeal. Plausible opponents such as Joaquin Buckley, Mike Malott, and Michael Venom Page sit near the top of consideration alongside other ranked or surging 170-pounders, as each offers different paths toward contention or fan interest. Medić’s post-fight call for a former champion adds another layer of speculation, but UFC matchmakers typically balance momentum, rest, and scheduling realities before finalizing cards. The even pricing captures this genuine uncertainty, where any single development—an injury, ranking shift, or targeted callout—could quickly consolidate sentiment.
