Damon Heta enters the opening-round clash at the 2026 SkyCity New Zealand Darts Masters as the stronger favorite, backed by his established PDC pedigree, multiple Players Championship titles, and recent high-three-figure averages in 2026 events. The Australian has consistently outperformed lower-ranked opponents with superior checkout conversion and scoring pace, while Ben Robb, a New Zealand qualifier with mainly WDF and occasional PDC exposure, has recorded early exits in major tournaments and lower averages in recent outings. Head-to-head dynamics and form gaps favor Heta despite any home-crowd boost for Robb, aligning with the 64% implied probability reflecting trader consensus on the clear experience and consistency edge.
