St Kilda Saints and Carlton Blues enter their Round 22 clash with nearly identical mid-table records after 20 games, creating tight trader consensus around a 50.5 percent implied probability for the Saints. Both sides have shown inconsistent recent form, with Carlton securing back-to-back wins over Gold Coast and Brisbane while St Kilda fell to Sydney in Round 21. Key roster factors include St Kilda’s ongoing absence of key forward Max King due to a season-ending hamstring injury, balanced against Carlton’s returning defenders such as Jacob Weitering and variable availability for players like Harry McKay. Home-ground advantage, recent scoring trends, and the tight ladder positions further support the even matchup, with any late injury updates or selection changes likely to shift probabilities in either direction.
