Clement Chidekh enters the Kingston 1 Challenger second-round matchup as the clear favorite, holding the No. 205 ATP ranking against Kenta Miyoshi’s No. 495 position. The French right-hander recently advanced with a three-set win over Jay Clarke, building on a solid 47-30 record over the past year and a career-high ranking of 176. Miyoshi, a Japanese player with strong recent hard-court results (28-12 over 52 weeks), comes in off straight-set victories in qualifying and the opening round at the Jamaican event. The hard surface typically rewards consistent baseline play and serve reliability, areas where Chidekh’s higher ranking and experience provide an edge, though Miyoshi’s current momentum and lack of prior head-to-head history keep the outcome from being entirely one-sided.
