The WSOP Player of the Year race remains exceptionally tight because the top contenders sit within a few dozen points after the Las Vegas schedule concluded, with Shaun Deeb holding a slim lead at 3,410 over Naoya Kihara (3,388) and William Foxen (3,381). Multiple bracelet winners and consistent final-table finishes by players such as Eelis Pärssinen, Joshua Arieh, and Benny Glaser have kept the leaderboard bunched, as only each competitor’s top 15 results count toward the total. Upcoming WSOP Paradise events in December offer substantial points opportunities that can still reorder the standings dramatically. This narrow margin among proven high-stakes performers reflects the wisdom of crowds pricing the market near even odds for the frontrunners while assigning realistic upset potential to the broader field.
