The tight 2026 WSOP Player of the Year race reflects a narrow points gap among volume-driven contenders after the Las Vegas leg, with Shaun Deeb holding a slim lead at 3,410 points ahead of Naoya Kihara and William Foxen. Deeb’s recent bracelet in the $1,500 8-Game Mix, combined with consistent final tables and cashes across mixed and high-roller events, has kept him atop the leaderboard that counts only the top 15 scores. Foxen and Kihara remain within striking distance through multiple deep runs and bracelet contention, while lower-probability names trail due to fewer high-point finishes. Upcoming WSOP Paradise events create ongoing volatility, as additional cashes or wins could reorder the standings before resolution. Trader consensus prices this as a clustered three-way battle rather than a runaway favorite.
