The 2026-27 Premier League campaign opens with three newly promoted sides—Hull City, Coventry City, and Ipswich Town—widely viewed as the most vulnerable after their Championship campaigns, yet early results have kept the race for last place unusually fluid. Hull’s strong start and Coventry’s inconsistent form illustrate how quickly momentum can shift in a division where squad depth, adaptation to the top-flight schedule, and fixture difficulty separate survival from the bottom. Established clubs such as Fulham, Crystal Palace, and several mid-table sides remain within striking distance in trader pricing because no team has established a clear edge after limited matchweeks, and historical patterns show promoted sides rarely dominate while others can slide rapidly on poor runs or injuries. This broad distribution reflects the wisdom of crowds pricing in high uncertainty typical of the season’s opening phase.

If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish in last place in the 2026-27 English Premier League (EPL) season (e.g., they are mathematically guaranteed to finish above 20th), this market will resolve to "No".
In the event of a tie for last place, this market will resolve based on the club officially recognized by the Premier League as finishing in 20th place. If multiple clubs are officially recognized as finishing in last place, this market will resolve to the club whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If the 2026-27 English Premier League (EPL) season is cancelled, postponed after June 13, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no last-place club declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The primary resolution source will be official information from the Premier League; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
