Traders are also monitoring Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh’s Friday speech for signals on potential rate hikes amid persistent inflation pressures, while geopolitical tensions with Iran and elevated oil prices add volatility risks. Year-to-date gains stand near 11.8%, supported by robust corporate earnings growth, yet recent sessions show narrowing breadth and sensitivity to AI-related results. These catalysts are likely to drive intraday swings and define whether the index reclaims recent highs or extends its pullback.
