The MLB team home run race remains tightly contested heading into the final month, with trader consensus reflecting the narrow gaps among several power-hitting clubs. The Chicago Cubs hold the outright lead in total homers through early September, fueled by contributions from Pete Crow-Armstrong and a recent outburst that included nine long balls in one contest, yet their implied probability sits near even money alongside other contenders. The New York Yankees, Washington Nationals, Houston Astros, and Cincinnati Reds trail closely in the standings, each buoyed by individual sluggers posting 30-plus homers and favorable remaining schedules that could close the gap. Late-season surges, injury recoveries, and bullpen usage patterns continue to influence momentum, keeping the field bunched as no single team has pulled away decisively.

If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the team with the higher run differential during the 2026 MLB regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed team name comes first alphabetically.
If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 11, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the team with the most home runs cannot be determined within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source for this market will be official information from the MLB; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
