**Dmitry Popko holds a modest ranking edge (around 432–658) over Branko Djuric (around 611) and brings greater experience at higher levels, with a career-high of No. 155, while both players remain undefeated through the early rounds of the M15 Kursumlijska Banja 13 on outdoor clay.** Djuric, a 21-year-old Serbian right-hander, has compiled a strong 2026 clay record and posted four consecutive straight-sets wins in this event, including recent victories over Motta, Lazarov, and Arce Fernandez, capitalizing on home-soil familiarity and consistent baseline play. Popko, a 29-year-old right-hander, has also advanced efficiently with wins over D'Agostino and others, showing solid return pressure on clay despite a mixed recent schedule that included Challenger-level outings. The surface favors longer rallies where Djuric’s recent momentum and Popko’s first-serve return stats could prove decisive, with no prior head-to-head meetings on record. Both competitors enter with positive short-term form, underscoring a competitive matchup where minor factors such as serving consistency and break-point conversion on the red clay will likely shape the outcome.
