Machida Zelvia’s strong start, limited goals conceded, and attacking output keep it in the mix alongside FC Tokyo, while Kashima Antlers, Kashiwa Reysol, and others maintain competitive records through organized backlines and reliable goalkeeping. With roughly 30-plus matches remaining plus a winter break, squad depth, fixture congestion, and minor roster adjustments can shift clean-sheet totals quickly. The narrow spread across more than twenty teams reflects this parity and the absence of a standout defensive frontrunner after the opening weeks.
