Early 2026 releases from major artists have created a wide-open field for the 2027 Grammy Song of the Year, with market-implied odds reflecting high uncertainty ahead of nominations. Harry Styles’ “Aperture” and Ariana Grande’s “hate that i made you love me” both debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving them strong chart momentum, while Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” stands out for country crossover appeal and Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” benefits from her established awards narrative. Olivia Rodrigo’s dual entries (“drop dead” and “the cure”), RAYE’s “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!,” Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might,” and Olivia Dean’s tracks add further competition. With no guild or critics’ circle results yet and eligibility ongoing, traders are pricing in broad possibility rather than clear frontrunners, though strong streaming, sales data, and late-year releases could shift sentiment before voting begins.
