Persistent sold-out demand for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey in the rare 70mm IMAX format, driven by its full IMAX film capture and limited projector availability, underpins the 66.5% market-implied odds for another extension. The recent one-month push to September 16 followed weeks of advance sell-outs and high per-screen averages, signaling sustained audience appetite beyond standard theatrical windows. Traders weigh ongoing presale queues, premium-format exclusivity, and historical patterns from Nolan’s prior epics against the finite run of 70mm venues, viewing further prolongation as likely if sell-outs persist into mid-August. Upcoming catalysts include weekly ticket release data and any official IMAX or Universal announcements on screen allocations.
