This market will resolve according to the official UFC Light Heavyweight division champion on December 31, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET. Only official UFC division champions will count. Interim champions will not count. If the relevant belt is vacant at this market’s check time, or there is otherwise no champion in the specified division, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the UFC (https://www.ufc.com/athletes).Carlos Ulberg captured the vacant UFC light heavyweight title with a first-round knockout of Jiří Procházka at UFC 327 in April 2026, establishing him as the division leader entering the second half of the year. The New Zealand fighter’s dominant performance and subsequent ranking at the top have shaped trader consensus around his ability to hold the belt through the remainder of 2026 despite undergoing ACL surgery from that contest. Potential challengers including Magomed Ankalaev, Alex Pereira, and returning contenders face barriers from Ulberg’s current status and recovery timeline, though extended layoffs, stylistic matchups, or late injuries could open realistic pathways for shifts in the title picture before year-end.
