Ronaldo’s uncertain contract status with Al-Nassr, including a reported release clause exercisable around June 2026 after Portugal’s 2026 World Cup exit, has fueled broad speculation about a move to MLS or a sentimental return. Trader sentiment reflects the 41-year-old’s age, preference for reduced travel demands in North America, and interest from multiple MLS clubs seeking star power and marketing upside, resulting in a wide distribution of low single-digit implied probabilities across the league. Sporting CP stands out among non-MLS options due to Ronaldo’s boyhood ties, while Real Madrid and Inter Miami draw limited support despite historical connections and a potential Messi link-up. No single destination has emerged as a clear frontrunner, as roster fit, salary considerations, and timing remain fluid heading into the next transfer window.
