Several candidates anchor competitive teams with strong records, including the Waterdogs and Cannons, where midfield depth, faceoff wins, and defensive short-stick contributions have kept individual impacts balanced through the regular season. Recent form and schedule strength have produced no decisive separation, leaving the award sensitive to final-weekend stat lines, team results, and any late injuries or lineup shifts that could swing the consensus.
