Liga MX's 2026 Apertura regular-season race for second place remains tightly bunched because multiple clubs enter with comparable roster depth, recent Liguilla pedigree, and balanced early form. Guadalajara benefits from substantial investment and consistent contention in prior Aperturas, while defending Clausura champions Cruz Azul carry momentum from their prior title run despite transitional challenges. Club América maintains elite resources and historical consistency, and Monterrey plus Pachuca leverage strong academies and CONCACAF experience. Toluca's recent continental success and UNAM's reinforcements add further parity, with the wisdom of crowds reflected in these narrow implied probabilities underscoring how quickly standings can shift in a league where home/away splits, fixture congestion, and minor injury absences frequently decide final table positions.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by Liga MX as finishing in second place in the Apertura final phase. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2026 Liga MX Apertura competition (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No".
If the 2026 Liga MX Apertura is cancelled, postponed after December 27, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The primary resolution source will be official information from Liga MX. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
