Jack Doherty's recent arrest on a first-degree misdemeanor domestic battery charge in Fort Lauderdale, with no reported injuries to the other party, underpins the market's strong consensus for no prison time. Florida statutes cap such offenses at one year in county jail, though outcomes frequently involve probation, fines, or pretrial diversion programs, especially for first-time domestic cases without aggravating factors. His prior 2025 drug and resisting-arrest charges resolved via a completed diversion program without conviction further supports trader expectations of lenient handling. Key upcoming catalysts include the initial court appearance, bond conditions, and any plea negotiations. An upset producing actual incarceration would require evidence of repeated violations, significant prior record impact, or escalation beyond the current misdemeanor filing.
