Official National Weather Service observations from Central Park confirm a daily maximum of 75°F on September 6, 2026, reached in the early afternoon under partly cloudy skies with light northeast winds and no precipitation. This value aligns precisely with the market's dominant 74-75°F outcome at 100% implied probability, reflecting the strong scientific consensus from verified station data rather than models or forecasts. Cooler-than-normal conditions, with an average temperature 2°F below the 1991-2020 climatological norm, produced the modest peak well short of September averages near 80°F. The only realistic challenges would involve rare post-publication revisions to the preliminary local climatological data or resolution criteria specifying a secondary station such as LaGuardia, where readings reached 77°F; however, Central Park remains the standard reference for such markets.
