This market will resolve based on the total number of knife kills recorded across all completed maps of the Counter-Strike 2 tournament at the 2026 Esports World Cup (EWC 2026), scheduled for August 12, 2026 to August 23, 2026. A knife kill is any kill credited in-game to a player using the knife (melee) against an opponent. Kills made with any other weapon, including the Zeus x27 taser, do not count. Every knife kill in every completed official map of the event counts individually toward the total. Only maps played in the 32-team main event count, including both the group stage and the playoffs. Maps played in the Open Qualifiers, the Last Chance Qualifier, or any showmatch do not count. The market resolves to the single range containing the final total number of knife kills at the conclusion of the event. If the Counter-Strike 2 tournament at EWC 2026 is cancelled, or is not completed such that its results are not determined by September 6, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other." The resolution source for this market will be official information from HLTV (https://www.hltv.org); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The EWC CS2 2026 tournament in Paris features 32 teams across group-stage double-elimination brackets and a single-elimination playoff bracket with best-of-three and best-of-five matches, generating well over 100 maps and thousands of rounds by the August 23 conclusion. Knife kills remain infrequent in elite Counter-Strike 2 play yet accumulate steadily across high-stakes series, with historical S-tier events such as majors routinely recording 10 or more confirmed instances through aggressive entries, eco rounds, and late-round situations. Recent group-stage footage already captured multiple knife finishes, reinforcing the volume expected through the ongoing playoffs. The 10+ outcome at 98.5% implied probability reflects this structural scale, while outcomes like 7-9 would require an atypically low total driven by unusually passive team play or abbreviated brackets.
