This market will resolve to “Yes” if FIFA announces the removal of the listed country as a host nation of the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. A qualifying announcement will immediately result in a “Yes” resolution for this market. Later retractions or alterations to a qualifying announcement will not affect the resolution of this market. If a qualifying announcement is not made by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “No”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA.Recent political pressure from Portuguese and Spanish left-wing parties has focused trader attention on Morocco's co-host status for the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Following the Ceuta migration crisis in early August 2026, Portugal's LIVRE party urged FIFA, UEFA, and the EU to exclude Morocco, citing human rights concerns and calling for a Portugal-Spain-only arrangement. Spain's Sumar party filed a similar non-binding motion, while the country's sports minister stated Spain deserves the final rather than Morocco. These developments coincide with ongoing trilateral coordination meetings and FIFA's expected year-end decisions on host cities and the final venue. No official removal process has begun, though the joint bid remains subject to political and governance scrutiny ahead of the centenary tournament.
