**Alvaro Guillen Meza faces Andrew Fenty in the first round of the Kingston 2 ATP Challenger on outdoor hard courts.** Guillen Meza (Ecuador, world No. ~278-281, career-high 175) holds the higher ranking and stronger overall win rate (~57% career), but enters with a poor hard-court record (4-11 or 0-2 recently) and a 14-21 mark in 2026, including a straight-sets loss to Igor Ribeiro Marcondes in the prior Kingston event. He excels on clay but has struggled for consistency across recent Challenger results. Fenty (USA, world No. ~394-414) sits lower in the rankings yet shows better adaptation to hard courts, with a solid 2026 record (~30-21) featuring wins in events like Brownsburg and Cary qualifiers alongside some retirements. No prior head-to-head exists. Betting markets price Fenty as the slight favorite (around 1.52-1.59), reflecting surface dynamics and recent hard-court trends over pure ranking. Key factors for traders include Guillen Meza’s return aggression versus Fenty’s serve reliability on hard, travel and scheduling in the back-to-back Jamaica swing, and the quick turnaround after both players’ recent matches. Late scratches or fitness updates could shift implied probabilities in this closely contested opener.
