Coco Gauff enters the Cincinnati Open semifinal as the clear favorite against Sara Bejlek, driven by her No. 4 WTA ranking, superior experience at the WTA 1000 level, and consistent hard-court form that includes a straight-sets quarterfinal win over Marta Kostyuk. Bejlek, ranked around No. 35 and making her first appearance in a WTA 1000 semifinal, arrives on a surprising run that featured upsets of Aryna Sabalenka and Madison Keys, the latter in a grueling three-set quarterfinal that may create physical recovery challenges. The pair has no prior head-to-head history on any surface. Gauff’s net play, return effectiveness, and ability to close out matches position her strongly, while traders weigh Bejlek’s momentum against the significant gap in overall pedigree and recent schedule demands.
