Joshua Peck and Axel Nefve meet in the round of 16 at the ITF M25 East Lansing on outdoor hard courts, a level where both compete regularly as lower-ranked professionals. Peck, a 27-year-old Canadian ranked near 1310 with a career-high of 575, enters after a straight-sets win in the prior round and brings a 6-6 height advantage that can aid his serve. Nefve, the 26-year-old American ranked around 994 with a career-high of 731, arrives on the back of a 2-0 victory over Alexander Petrov and holds a modest edge in recent consistency on the ITF circuit. Limited prior head-to-head history leaves recent form, surface preference, and physical freshness as the main variables shaping the closely contested matchup.
