Fanming Meng faces Tsung-Hao Huang in the first round of qualifying at the 2026 Zhangjiagang Challenger on outdoor hard courts. The 18-year-old Chinese Meng holds a lower ranking near 1036 but posted a solid 25-18 record in 2026 across ITF and lower events, with multiple wins on hard and indoor hard surfaces. Huang, the 26-year-old from Chinese Taipei ranked 630 with a career-high of 474, brings greater Challenger experience yet enters with an 11-22 mark this season and inconsistent recent results. Huang enters as the consensus favorite reflecting his ranking edge and prior Zhangjiagang appearances, while Meng’s youth, home-country support, and recent form create upset potential in this closely matched qualifier.
