Pedro Martinez holds a clear experience edge over Daniil Glinka in this US Open qualifying first-round matchup on outdoor hard courts, backed by a career-high ranking of No. 36 and multiple Grand Slam main-draw appearances. Martinez enters with a 148-151 ranking and recent hard-court activity, though his 2026 win-loss record sits at 3-9. Glinka, ranked near 156-160 after cracking the top 160 in August, shows promise from recent Challenger results including strong showings in Kingston but lacks comparable ATP-level exposure or head-to-head history against established players. The surface and draw position favor the veteran Spaniard's consistency in longer rallies and return game.
