Masamichi Imamura enters the ITF M25 Taipei hard-court match as the clear favorite against Shinji Hazawa, backed by a superior ATP ranking near 422, stronger 2026 win rate around 61 percent, and a 2-0 head-to-head edge that includes a straight-sets victory on the same surface in M25 Sapporo last year. Imamura arrives with recent wins over Erik Arutiunian and others in August events, though he fell in straight sets to Sergey Fomin in Astana, while Hazawa's form shows inconsistency, including a quarterfinal loss to Matthew Dellavedova in an M15 event. Both players compete regularly on hard courts with no reported injuries or late changes affecting the draw. Trader consensus reflects these gaps in experience and results at this level.
