Rockstar's June 2026 official announcement of an $79.99 standard edition for the November launch has anchored trader consensus around a clear "No" outcome. The base price sits $20 below the $100 threshold, aligning with recent AAA trends while the $99.99 Ultimate Edition bundles exclusive vehicles, weapons, and in-game content as optional upgrades. Pre-order data and retailer listings have reinforced this structure without any indication of base-price inflation. With the release still months away, the dominant risk remains a rare last-minute adjustment by Take-Two, though historical patterns and the company's public defense of the $80 tier make such a shift improbable.
