Traders see an 86.3% implied probability that Elon Musk will not secure full custody of the child he shares with Ashley St. Clair by year-end 2026, driven primarily by court records documenting his minimal involvement since the September 2024 birth. Verified filings show Musk visited the roughly two-year-old son only three times and provided no daily caregiving, while St. Clair has maintained primary residence and filed for sole custody in early 2025 following support disputes. New York family court precedents strongly favor the consistently involved parent for young children absent evidence of unfitness, and no confirmed updates indicate Musk has increased his role or that proceedings have shifted momentum. His January 2026 public filing announcement, tied to St. Clair’s transgender-related statements, introduced allegations but produced no immediate legal resolution or caregiving changes. Ongoing disputes, including recent public appearances by St. Clair, underscore the personal nature of the case without altering documented patterns or offering clear near-term catalysts for reversal.
