The NHL's 2026-27 Stanley Cup race remains tightly bunched among several contenders because the league's parity and recent roster adjustments have left no clear frontrunner heading into training camp. The Carolina Hurricanes enter as defending champions with a balanced core, while the Florida Panthers climbed to the top tier after acquiring Brady Tkachuk and addressing goaltending depth. Colorado's elite duo of Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar (fresh off a record extension) and Edmonton's Connor McDavid-led group round out the leading cluster, with Vegas, Tampa Bay, and Minnesota close behind on the strength of recent form and depth additions. Offseason trades and signings have refreshed multiple lineups without creating a decisive gap, so trader consensus reflects ongoing uncertainty across the Eastern and Western conferences.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to be named as the champion of NHL for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NHL (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the NHL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
