Netflix's Stranger Things franchise completed its live-action run with Season 5's finale dropping December 31, 2025. Attention has shifted to the first animated spin-off, Stranger Things: Tales From '85, whose debut season launched in full on April 23, 2026. That series was quickly renewed for a second season slated for late 2026, though Netflix has not yet locked an exact premiere window. A separate live-action spin-off remains in early development with no announced title, cast, or release target, pointing toward 2027 or later. Traders are pricing the next new episode conservatively, reflecting typical Netflix animation timelines, the absence of firm 2026 commitments beyond the renewal, and uncertainty around production pace for additional franchise content. Upcoming catalysts include any fall 2026 Tudum updates or official S2 date announcements that could shift near-term resolution odds.

For the purposes of this market, an “episode” must be listed as a distinct episode of Stranger Things on Netflix and be playable for general subscribers in the United States. A behind-the-scenes featurette, documentary, trailer, recap, cast interview, deleted scenes compilation, or other bonus content will not count unless it is clearly presented by Netflix as an official numbered or titled episode of the series.
If Netflix releases an alternate cut, extended cut, or “secret” version of an already-released episode, it will not count unless it is listed as a separate episode entry on Netflix.
The primary resolution source for this market will be the Stranger Things title page on Netflix (episode list and availability), however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
