Bernard Tomic enters this US Open qualifying matchup on hard courts with stronger recent momentum than Lloyd Harris. The Australian posted his first ATP-level hard-court wins in years at the 2026 Los Cabos event, including a straight-sets upset of top-30 player Karen Khachanov after claiming a July Challenger title. Harris, returning from prior injury setbacks, secured two early-2026 Challenger crowns but has shown more mixed results since. The pair’s head-to-head favors Tomic 2-0, and both sit in similar ranking territory near 165-175. Traders weigh Tomic’s hard-court form and recent ATP exposure most heavily for this qualifying encounter.
