This market will resolve to "Yes" if a Western team beats a team from the LCK, LPL, or LCP in a best-of-five series during the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026), currently scheduled for October 15 to November 14, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. Only best-of-five series count toward this market; best-of-one and best-of-three matches, tiebreakers, and showmatches do not count. A team beats another team in a best-of-five series only if it wins the series (three game wins); individual game wins within a series that the team loses do not count. Play-In Stage series count toward this market, as do Knockout Stage series. If the results of Worlds 2026 are not determined by November 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Riot Games, via the LoL Esports website (https://lolesports.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2026) may also be used.Eastern regions maintain clear historical edges in best-of-five series against Western squads, with LCK and LPL teams posting dominant records in recent international events including MSI 2026, where Hanwha Life Esports claimed the title. Trader consensus near even odds reflects measured optimism for a Western breakthrough at Worlds 2026 in North America, driven by refreshed LCS and LEC rosters, G2 and Karmine Corp qualification, and home-crowd factors that could aid LCS or LEC sides in Swiss-stage or play-in matchups. Persistent gaps in depth and execution against top Eastern lineups like Gen.G, T1, and Bilibili Gaming keep the outcome finely balanced, with any early Western series win hinging on favorable draws and peak form from squads such as Cloud9 or G2.
