Preseason action in the 2026 NFL has provided early signals on roster depth and quarterback development, with Week 1 games highlighting rookies and position battles that could influence regular-season trajectories. Teams like the Rams, Bills, and Ravens carry elevated implied probabilities in trader markets due to returning talent, recent free-agency additions, and favorable division outlooks, while new coordinators across the league and ongoing injury evaluations add uncertainty. Schedule strength, home/away splits, and bye-week advantages will factor heavily once the September 9 kickoff arrives, as will health of key players entering the 17-game slate. Historical patterns show that strong preseason momentum and minimal camp setbacks often translate to better playoff positioning in both conferences.
