Carlos Alcaraz leads the 2026 US Open winner market after Jannik Sinner’s pre-tournament withdrawal with a right knee injury removed the top-ranked player. The defending champion has advanced to the fourth round in strong form following a four-month absence due to a right wrist injury, dropping just one set across his opening matches while reporting excellent recovery and no physical setbacks. Alexander Zverev, the top seed and French Open champion, sits second despite surviving two five-set marathons, reflecting his consistent 2026 results and hard-court experience. Ben Shelton has progressed to the round of 16 with resilient wins, bolstered by home-crowd support on the hard courts. Lower-ranked contenders like Daniil Medvedev, Learner Tien, and Jakub Mensik remain in contention through early-round victories, though the draw’s depth and potential upsets keep their probabilities modest.
