The WSOP Player of the Year race remains tightly bunched because only a player's top 15 results across WSOP Europe, Las Vegas, and upcoming Paradise count, leaving room for several contenders to surge or slip with strong or weak showings in the Bahamas. Shaun Deeb holds a slim lead at 3,410 points after the Las Vegas leg, narrowly ahead of Naoya Kihara and William Foxen, while players such as Joshua Arieh, Benny Glaser, Eelis Pärssinen, and Nicholas Schulman sit within striking distance after key bracelet runs and final tables. Trader consensus around 25-35% for the frontrunners captures this competitive dynamic, with no single player holding an insurmountable edge and late momentum in high-stakes events able to shift the leaderboard substantially before December resolution.
