Joey Bosa enters the 2026 offseason as an unsigned unrestricted free agent edge rusher following a one-year stint with the Buffalo Bills, where his production dipped amid ongoing injury concerns and a modest five-sack campaign. This uncertainty, combined with reports that the 31-year-old is more likely than not to retire after 10 NFL seasons, has left the market fragmented across numerous suitors. No single team holds a dominant edge in trader consensus, with implied probabilities clustered tightly in the low-to-mid 40s for frontrunners like the Cardinals, Commanders, Steelers, and Bengals. Factors such as roster needs for rotational pass-rush depth, cap flexibility for veteran minimum deals, and potential interest from clubs like the 49ers (due to family ties) or others seeking experienced defensive ends continue to support broad distribution rather than convergence on one destination.
