Inter, Roma, Como, and Juventus stand out as the primary contenders for Serie A’s top four spots in 2026-27, per pre-season models and early results. Inter enter as defending champions with a bolstered squad featuring additions like John Stones and Djed Spence, maintaining strong early form under Cristian Chivu. Roma have impressed with Donyell Malen’s goal-scoring surge and Paulo Dybala’s creativity, while Como’s surprising start—including victories over Napoli—positions them as a genuine threat under Cesc Fàbregas. Juventus benefit from Luciano Spalletti’s influence and squad reinforcements, though AC Milan, Napoli (now with Massimiliano Allegri), and Atalanta remain competitive amid roster shifts and European commitments that could influence consistency over the long campaign.
