The Cowboys hold a modest edge in the season series market thanks to their elite offense anchored by Dak Prescott and a defensive rebuild featuring new coordinator Christian Parker plus additions like Caleb Downs and Jalen Thompson, positioning them as the stronger overall roster heading into 2026. The Commanders enter with uncertainty after Jayden Daniels’ injury-plagued 2025 and a rash of training-camp setbacks, including Laremy Tunsil’s triceps tear and multiple defensive absences that weaken their front. Divisional matchups remain volatile, however, with the Week 2 home game for Dallas and Week 18 road finale for Washington creating realistic paths for a split. Trader pricing reflects that balanced outlook, where a 1-1 tie stays nearly as likely as a Cowboys sweep while a Commanders series win stays a long shot.
