Patrick Mahomes enters 2026 training camp cleared for full participation and on track for a Week 1 start against the Broncos following his late-2025 ACL and LCL recovery, anchoring trader consensus at 90.5% implied probability. The Chiefs' depth chart lists the nine-year starter ahead of newly acquired backup Justin Fields, whose 43.6% reflects contingency value rather than a primary challenge. Gardner Minshew, Chris Oladokun, and Joe Flacco sit at minimal percentages as depth or practice options. Recent OTA participation and medical updates have reinforced Mahomes' availability, though a setback in camp or a new injury could elevate Fields or force roster adjustments ahead of the opener.

If the Chiefs do not name a single player as the starting quarterback, the market will resolve based on the player who takes the most snaps at quarterback during their first offensive drive of the game. If multiple players take the same number of snaps on the Chiefs’ first offensive drive, the market will resolve to the player who took the first snap at quarterback.
This market may not resolve before the start of the Chiefs’ Week 1 regular season game.
The resolution sources for this market will be official information from the NFL (NFL.com); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
